What once was fields of orange trees Is now dozens of cities. Along the Pacific,
with boats in the bay North of San Diego and south of L.A. Winter's Santa Ana winds blow Orange County is my home.
Only
here can you find the Orange County Fair Or a circle shaped building called "Triangle Square". Filling this county with
fun and charm, you find Disneyland, California Adventure, and Knott's Berry Farm. Tourists come here through John Wayne
Airport To enjoy the theme parks or perhaps to see sports. Entertaining people of all ages- big and small, Mighty
Ducks play hockey and Angels play baseball. For shopping there's always the Block at Orange, South Coast Plaza, Fashion
Island, Main Place, or Mall of Orange.
So many cities call Orange County home- Anaheim, Orange, Tustin, and Garden
Grove, Santa Ana, Fullerton, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Yorba Linda, Newport Beach, Cypress, and Brea, Westminster, Placentia,
San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente, Buena Park, and Mission Viejo. So many cities, one cannot name them all Some are
coastal, some are inland, some are big, some are small Some are 714, some are 949 Some have streets lined with palm
trees, and others with pines.
Driving my Honda along the 55 Through the stop-and-go traffic in the evening at 5 Or
through the old traffic circle along Chapman Avenue I look at the buildings, the old and the new, The cars, the birds,
the people walking around, The palm trees, the houses, the sights, and the sounds. Seeing all this, I'm never alone Living
here in Orange County, my county, my home.
